Radio knowledge and work experience
My
main interest is in Radio and the course I have just finished has
allowed me to develop my creative talents (making jingles and
adverts), as well as learn new design programmes (Quark Xpress,
adobe Photoshope, Dreamweaver). I have been involved with my student
radio station RARE fm, my university magazine Pi and hospital
radio. I have also worked alongside the producers on BBC Southern
Counties breakfast shows. To gain more experience I have presented
shows on various RSL's as well (Avenues fm and TLS fm) and am
currently co-hosting the breakfast show on Life fm, (101.4fm /
www.lifefm.org.uk) If I’m passionate about something, I
will get involved.
My paid experience to date has involved a lot of administrational
work, therefore, I have no problem dealing with colleagues or
clients in the workplace. I have never had problems prioritising
my workloads nor multitasking either. In fact, I like to keep
busy at all times, but this in no way reflects the standard of
my work. In fact, I strive for perfection every time; even if
cannot get it! I am diligent and know how to stay focused on a
task and see it through to completion. I am very outgoing and
am always willing to help out should a problem arise.
